How Do I Pay Transport Costs?
We pay all your transport costs as they occur. Each of these costs is then debited from your e-Warehousing account balance usually within 24 hours. You must maintain a minimum balance to cover a small percentage of expected transport costs for your orders. The minimum balance is recalculated daily, based on your shipments the previous day - just like an e-tag.
All orders shipped have the estimated cost (Ex GST) of transport on your order enquiry screen as they leave the warehouse.
Can I use my own transport accounts?
No, in order to provide a complete service, with simple bundled pricing, e-Warehousing must ship everything on its own transport accounts. This applies to road and air freight shipments.
Export shipments can be sent using your own freight carriers.
Transport Guide Lines:
• Transport Companies pick up between 14:45 and 15:45. Monday to Friday (working days).
• Rates and service quotations are estimates and will be based upon the product / order information provided by you, but final rates and service may vary based upon the actual shipment.
• Due to potential delays beyond the control of e-Warehousing in the discovery of errors we reserves the right to retroactively assess or adjust transport costs.
• Transport costs are based on the greater of dead weight or cubic conversion.
• Costs related to failed delivery, returns, labour and waiting time, and reconsignment, will be retroactively billed to your account.
• When using a third party carrier in conjunction with e-Warehousing services, you shall be responsible for any associated fees billed to e-Warehousing. e-Warehousing shall not be responsible for determining if fees are correct, or acting as an intermediary between you and the third party carrier.
• Insurance is NOT included in transport rates. You can nominate to insure your shipments at the beginning of each billing period for the next billing month.
• Fuel Surcharges. Most Transport Companies apply fuel surcharges, you are responsible for any applicable fuel surcharges.
